Column Cast Iron Radiators
Plain Column Cast Iron Radiators have been a popular choice for many years for their traditional and vintage style. These are a great choice if you want to add an elegant touch to your home. Cast iron radiators have a certain charm about them, and it’s no surprise that we have installed these radiators in plenty of grand old buildings over the years, including National Trust Properties. But they also look great in any home, including Victorian terrace properties.
Made from hollow tubes of cast iron, these radiators are divided into sections, which are referred to as columns. Larger radiators have more columns, and as you can see from the products below, they come in a wide range of sizes starting at two columns.
On this page, you can find our range of horizontal designs, but don’t forget to take a look at our Vertical Column Radiators too. One of the great things about Column Radiators is that they are so versatile, and you can find a size and design for any setting.
Cast iron radiators have a lovely vintage appearance, and they also come in a range of styles and colours. Our Plain Column Cast Iron Radiators are, unsurprisingly, of the plainer variety, but there is still a lot of choice with these so you can easily match your new radiator to your room.
Finishes are available in Copper, Cream, Farthing, Guinea Gold, White, Sterling and many more. Just choose one of the radiators from the options below and see which finishes are available.
The other important consideration is the height of the radiator. Our Plain Column Cast Iron Radiators come in a range of heights. Some are shorter, starting at 360mm, and these are perfect for going underneath low windows in period properties.
These radiators combine efficient heating and practical heating solutions with timeless designs. They are made to a very high standard, and many come with beautiful features like integral legs. The high standard of the casting really shows in these radiators.
Our Etonian, Victorian, Wilberforce, Edwardian and other ranges all offer something a bit different. What they all provide, however, is high quality, a classic style and an efficient heating solution for your home.
The Experts in Plain Column Cast Iron Radiators
Feature Radiators boasts nearly two decades of experience in radiators. We only do radiators, and this is not a sideline for us. That allows us to focus purely on what we love most of all.
One thing you need to know about us is that we only sell radiators of the highest quality. And not just the actual radiators, but also the parts like supports and brackets. Many radiators look the same, but when you take a closer look, they are not made to the same quality. Instead, cheaper radiators are made from inferior parts and thinner metal. But that’s not what you’ll find here.
When you choose a Plain Column Cast Iron Radiator here, you can be sure that every model has been carefully inspected by our experts to ensure it meets our exacting standards – and not just the overall design but the performance too.

Cast Iron Column radiators
Column cast iron radiators are a popular choice, traditional looks mean they suit British interiors. Some of the castings date back to the 1800’s and these models manufactured with more modern techniques are of superior quality.
Column cast iron comes in a variety of heights and we start with the Etonian column cast iron radiator that can be just 375mm high. Cast iron radiator boast a range of benefits when it comes to heating your home, they retain the heat after the boiler has switched off due to the density of the cast iron, they are versatile with sizing, as low as 375mm and up to 960mm high, columns on the cast iron can vary also, so the more depth front to back means more columns, again our Etonian comes a 6 column version, so provides very high heat output.
Different eras in time create different column cast iron stylings; we have Victorian cast iron radiators, Edwardian cast iron radiators, Art Deco cast iron and our Rococo cast iron radiator that nods back to the rebellious era with exceptionally ornamental design.
Column cast iron can literally be finished in over 1000 different paint choices, we do farrow and ball, little greene paint company, dulux and all major paint suppliers as a colour match and can also offer genuine farrow and ball paints too. So you can have a funky column cast iron radiator, a subtle cast iron radiator to blend into your walls or you can tie the colour of your era defining cast iron radiator into your interior seamlessly with a well selected colour.
When selecting a size of horizontal cast iron radiator it is worth noting that cast iron is a heavy material, so wall mounting can be achieved but weights must be considered, as standard cats iron radiators are floor standing and fixed to the wall.
Column cast iron does boast green credentials when you might think they would not but iron used is nearly 90% recycled and iron they use can be recycled indefinitely without loss of performance, a sustainable product in that sense.
